Search and rescue teams worked through the night to find several construction workers who were trapped in the building.

More than 100 emergency workers and sniffer dogs are currently at the scene searching for survivors under the rubble and on concrete blocks and scaffolding.

Family members camped in a nearby municipal building to wait for news of their relatives.

Local authorities said 75 construction workers were on the scene when the five-storey building collapsed.

The cause of the collapse of the building is not yet known.
