six people lost their lives in a road accident in Taita Taveta County.

The victims, including four students from Dr. Aggrey Boys’ High School in Wundanyi, were traveling in a minibus when it crashed after suffering brake failure at the dangerous Josa bend along the Wundanyi-Mwatate road.

The students were on their way home following the closure of their school due to a second fire incident, the cause of which is still under investigation. The driver of the minibus and a parent who was picking up their child also died in the crash.
Those who survived were taken to Moi Referral Hospital and St. Joseph Mission Hospital in Voi for treatment. Authorities are currently investigating the incident.
