A disturbing domestic violence incident was captured on CCTV in Buruburu, Nairobi, and has since circulated on social media.
The footage shows a woman, believed to be the man’s partner, attacking him with a knife, leaving him with serious head injuries.
The video, dated Saturday, November 9, 2024, begins with the woman enjoying a drink and dancing in their living room, while the man is seen standing at the doorway, seemingly unable to enter the room. A young woman, likely a domestic worker, is also visible, holding a baby, with a toddler playing nearby.
As the video progresses, the domestic worker and children are no longer in the living room. The man is seen sitting and drinking water when the woman emerges from another room holding a knife and swiftly launches an attack. The man tries to protect himself using a cushion.
