A devastating incident occurred in Matiliku, Makueni, where a 50-year-old man took the lives of his two sons before ending his own life.
Police discovered the three bodies early Monday morning. The tragedy appears to be connected to a domestic dispute with the man’s estranged wife, with whom he had separated, leaving him to care for the children.
The man was found dead with a severe throat wound, and an empty poison container was located beside him.
The bodies of the 16-year-old and 9-year-old boys were found nearby, both with throat slashes inflicted by a panga.
The murder weapon and a suicide note were also recovered at the scene.
