Kitui: Successful ‘Parish Ngetha’ Raises Over 11 Million for Kabati Parish Development

Kabati Parish witnessed a remarkable demonstration of communal solidarity and support during the recent ‘Parish Getha’, organized by the Strategic Planning Committee of Holy Family Catholic Kabati Parish.

They raised  Eleven million and six thousand kenyan shillings.

Led by prominent figures including Fredrick Kimanga, the Kitui County Minister for Lands, Housing, and Urban Development, Nick Mulila, Chief Corporate Security Officer at Safaricom, and Dr. Vincent Munyoki of the Vincent Munyoki Foundation, the event garnered overwhelming participation.

Among the distinguished guests were area MP Edith Nyenze, Mwingi West MP Charles Nguna, area MCA Gabriel Munyao, and Paul Maluki, Kithumula MCA, alongside other notable attendees.

The presence of these esteemed personalities added to the event’s success and exemplified the collaborative efforts toward a common goal.

The Parish Getha, held at Kabati Parish, not only showcased a strong sense of community unity but also raised a staggering sum of 11.6 million towards parish initiatives and development projects. Dr. Julius Makau Malombe, the Kitui County Boss, provided crucial support to the event, further endorsing its objectives. Additionally, the parish priest and choir received a gracious gift from Dr. Malombe, further cementing his commitment to the parish’s welfare.

The funds amassed during this Parish Getha are poised to play a pivotal role in advancing various projects and initiatives within Kabati Parish, ensuring its sustained growth and continued service to the community.
