Narok: Police Arrest Three, Seize Elephant Tusks Valued at Ksh.2.7M

In Narok, authorities have detained three individuals on suspicion of possessing four elephant tusks, collectively weighing 27 kilograms and estimated to be worth Ksh.2.7 million.

The trio, identified as Joseph Mutuku (44), Julius Mwanduka Kiema (72), and Alfred Nzioka Mutie (44), was apprehended in the Kisiriri area of Narok North following a coordinated operation led by the Serious Crimes Unit of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and local law enforcement agencies.

Currently, the three suspects are in police custody awaiting prosecution for alleged offenses under the Wildlife Conservation and Management Act of 2013.
