Open University of Kenya Announces 62 Job Vacancies; How to Apply

The Open University of Kenya (OUK) has opened applications for 62 academic and administrative positions.

In a notice released on Tuesday, January 13, OUK invited qualified and interested candidates to apply.

“To provide dynamic and strategic leadership, OUK welcomes qualified individuals to apply for the positions listed below,” the notice stated.

Academic Vacancies:

  • Deputy Director, Teaching and Learning
  • Senior Lecturer, Computer Science
  • Lecturer, Computer Science
  • Tutorial Fellow, Computer Science
  • Research Assistant, Computer Science
  • Lecturer, Mathematics
  • Lecturer, Statistics
  • Tutorial Fellow, Mathematics/Statistics
  • Lecturer, Community Health Nursing
  • Tutorial Fellow, Midwifery
  • Lecturer, Agricultural Economics

In the School of Business and Economics, openings include lecturers in Accounting and Human Resource Management, and Tutorial Fellow positions in Finance, Supply Chain & Logistics Management, and Project Management.

How to Apply:

Candidates must submit an Application Letter and detailed Curriculum Vitae, including academic qualifications, professional experience, and leadership roles. Applications should also list publications, awards, scholarships, professional memberships, collaborations, and contact details. Copies of certificates, National ID, and other supporting documents must be included.

Applicants with foreign degrees must attach a recognition letter from the Commission for University Education (CUE).

The deadline for submission is February 2, 2026.

OUK noted that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. Shortlisted applicants will be required to have three referees submit references directly through a system provided by the University.
