Detectives are investigating a shocking case in Navokholo, Kakamega County, where a five-year-old girl was found dead and dumped inside a pit latrine.
According to police, the victim was a PP2 pupil at Nderema Comprehensive School. She had been playing with other children in the same compound before she mysteriously disappeared.

In a separate case, police in Kilimani, Nairobi, are probing the death of 46-year-old c whose body was discovered in her Jamhuri area house. The cause of her death is yet to be established. Her roommate alerted authorities after finding her lifeless body.
Meanwhile, in Shanzu, Mombasa County, an 89-year-old British woman identified as Shield Kathleen was found dead in her apartment. She had arrived in Kenya on April 24, 2025, and was scheduled to leave on November 22, 2025.
Preliminary investigations suggest she may have been unwell. Her body has been taken to the mortuary pending an autopsy and further inquiries.
