According to authorities, the body had been doused with acid before being abandoned in the Mercedes-Benz truck at the Rongo Taxi Yard on the night of Friday, August 8.
The discovery was made on August 10 at around 3 p.m., when security guards at the yard noticed a foul smell and saw flies swarming around the vehicle. They alerted police, who broke into the lorry and found the body lying in the cabin behind the driver’s seat, with visible burn scars on the face, stomach, and left leg.
Witnesses reported seeing two men park the vehicle hastily that night before walking away.
The body has been moved to the mortuary for an autopsy, while efforts to identify the victim and establish the motive for the murder are ongoing.
