The Ministry of Labour has opened job opportunities for female Kenyan nurses to work in collaboration with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), as announced by Labour Principal Secretary Shadrack Mwadime.
The initiative, done in partnership with the government of Kenya and KSA, aims to recruit additional health workers, although the exact number of vacancies has not been disclosed. Qualified applicants, holding degrees, diplomas, or certificates in nursing, must be Kenyan citizens, possess a valid passport, and fall within the age range of 22 to 35 years.
Applicants are required to have a valid police clearance certificate and be registered and licensed members in good standing with the Nursing Council of Kenya. Degree holders will receive a minimum monthly salary of 35,900 SAR (Sh146,716), diploma holders 3,000 SAR (Sh125,757), and certificate holders 2,200 SAR (Sh92,221). Additional benefits include a roundtrip air ticket, an eight-hour workday, overtime in accordance with Saudi Arabian labor laws, and a two-year renewable contract for successful candidates.
