According to the police, the arrests took place during a well-coordinated operation, where the main suspect and two of his accomplices were apprehended.
The police believe the trio had been terrorizing the Machakos and Joska areas, carrying out a series of bold hardware burglaries.
During the arrests, officers recovered a motorcycle, which was reportedly used by the suspects to flee the scene.
They also seized burglary tools, including a bolt cutter and a long metal rod, which were allegedly used to intimidate security guards during the robberies.
In the same operation, detectives arrested a fourth suspect in Machakos town.
This individual led the authorities to a scrap metal dealer, where they found a stash of stolen items from a hardware store in Joska.
The stolen goods included 200 kilograms of nails, 25 kilograms of hoop iron, and a laptop.
Further investigation revealed that three of the suspects were former prisoners who had been recently released from Machakos GK Prison.
The suspects are now in police custody, awaiting their day in court, while the recovered items are being kept as evidence.
