Last month, the agency published vacancies for various medical colleges nationwide. The portal, which was initially opened on January 24, had been closed on February 14, 2025.
KUCCPS aims to fill 21 KMTC courses that still have available slots for the March 2025 intake. The portal will now remain open until March 4, 2025.
“All applicants who were unsuccessful in the previous application and others wishing to join KMTC in March 2025 are invited to apply,” reads the notice.

On January 25, KUCCPS CEO Agnes Wahome explained that the new application process would be handled in phases, starting with KMTC and TVET colleges. This approach ensures that students enrolling for the March intake can apply on time.
“This phased application process is a new method adopted by the institution, starting with KMTC and TVET colleges, to accommodate the different intake periods,” she said. Universities and Teacher Training Colleges (TTCs) typically admit students later in the year, while KMTC and TVET colleges begin their intake in January, February, and May.
The phased process is designed to ensure that students transition smoothly into college. KUCCPS also announced that candidates who sat for the KCSE exams between 2000 and 2024 are eligible to apply for placement in KMTC and TVET institutions.
Applicants are encouraged to apply for campuses within their local areas to reduce commuting costs.
“Students applying for degrees and TTCs should be patient, as their application dates will be announced later,” KUCCPS added on January 25.
For those re-taking their exams in July, KUCCPS assured that they would be able to apply for KMTC and TVET placements based on their improved results for the September intake.
