Police have launched an investigation following the death of a 26-year-old woman, Cathrene Soila, in Githurai, Nairobi, in what is suspected to be a case of murder.

According to reports, a man claimed that his girlfriend had collapsed and died inside their home on May 14, 2025.
However, upon arrival, officers discovered Soila’s body on the floor, bearing visible injuries on her head, forehead, and lips. Police noted that her lips appeared to have been bitten.
The body was transported to the mortuary for a postmortem as detectives continue probing the circumstances surrounding her death.
