Authorities in Vihiga County have apprehended a 70-year-old man on allegations of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl. Patrick Gogo, the Police Commander for Hamisi sub-county, confirmed the incident and revealed that the victim is a Grade 3 pupil.
Expressing his condemnation of the act, Gogo highlighted the increasing prevalence of defilement and incest cases in the area in recent times. The suspect is currently in police custody, awaiting formal charges and arraignment.
