The Moi International Airport Anti-narcotics officers, based in Mombasa, made a significant bust yesterday, uncovering 300g of heroin from the residence of a 24-year-old student at Technical University of Mombasa.
Acting on intelligence, the detectives conducted a raid at the house of Killian Makuto Dunda, located in Mshomoroni, Kisauni sub-county. Dunda, the student in question, was subsequently arrested.

The heroin, neatly packaged in a clear polythene bag, was found at the premises. With an estimated street value of Sh1.2 million, the brownish/whitish substance tested positive for heroin upon examination at the site.

The seized contraband has been secured as evidence pending further sampling and analysis at the government chemist. Meanwhile, Dunda remains in custody awaiting arraignment scheduled for today.
