The Kenya Meteorological Department has forecast continued rainfall in multiple parts of the country.

In its latest weather outlook covering Tuesday, May 20, to Monday, May 26, 2025, the department indicated that several regions will experience ongoing rainfall during this period.
“Showers are expected to persist in the Central Highlands, Lake Victoria Basin, Rift Valley, Coastal, Western, and North-western regions,” the report noted.
Daytime temperatures are projected to hit 30°C in many areas across the Coast, North-eastern, North-western, and parts of the South-eastern lowlands. Meanwhile, nighttime temperatures could dip below 10°C in the Central Highlands, Western Kenya, Central Rift Valley, and Mt. Kilimanjaro areas.
Regional Forecast Highlights:
- Nairobi: Mostly cloudy with occasional sunshine. Temperatures between 15°C and 25°C.
- Mombasa: Sunny with periods of rain. Temperatures ranging from 25°C to 29°C.
- Kisumu: Rain and sunny intervals expected. Temperatures between 19°C and 28°C.
- Eldoret: Rains with sunny breaks. Temperatures from 13°C to 22°C.
- Nakuru: Predominantly sunny with temperatures from 14°C to 25°C.
- Nyeri: Showers expected with sunny intervals. Temperatures between 15°C and 23°C.
- Marsabit: Sunny intervals throughout the day. Temperatures from 18°C to 30°C.
- Kakamega: Rain and sun expected. Temperatures between 16°C and 26°C.
- Garissa: Mostly sunny with minimal cloud cover. Highs of 36°C and lows of 24°C.
- Lamu: Sunny spells with occasional showers. Temperatures ranging from 26°C to 29°C.
- Lodwar: Predominantly sunny. Daytime highs of 38°C and lows of 25°C.
- Makindu: Partly cloudy with sunny intervals. Temperatures between 18°C and 30°C.
- Malindi: A mix of sun and rain. Temperatures from 25°C to 29°C.
