President Ruto Mourns June Moi’s Passing

Kenyan leaders, including President William Ruto, have turned to social media to express their condolences following the passing of June Chebet Moi, daughter of the late former President Daniel Moi.

President Ruto conveyed his sympathies to the Moi family, offering prayers and strength during this difficult period. Additionally, Simon Chelugui, the Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Co-operatives & Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), praised June Moi as a patriot and extended his deepest sympathies to the Moi family.

Governor Jonathan Bii of Uasin Gishu highlighted June’s achievements as a successful businesswoman, emphasizing her significant contributions to the nation. Similarly, Tana River County Woman Representative, Amina Dika Abdulahi, offered her condolences and prayers to the grieving family.

The family, in a statement released on Thursday morning, confirmed June Chebet Moi’s passing at the age of 60.

They requested privacy and prayers as they come to terms with the loss of their beloved sister.
