Today, President William Ruto participated in the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) celebrations marking the 60th anniversary of the Kenya Navy’s formation.

At the event, Ruto honored the service’s fallen officers by laying a wreath. The Kenya Navy is one of the three branches of the KDF.
Founded on December 12, 1964, one year after Kenya’s independence, the Kenya Navy has continued to play a vital role in protecting the country’s maritime borders. The anniversary event celebrates the Navy’s achievements and its contributions to the nation’s defense and maritime security.
