In a sorrowful turn of events, the lifeless body of a middle-aged man was discovered inside an electronics store in Mwingi, Kitui County. CCTV footage revealed that the man fell from the roof of the establishment while attempting to break into the premises.
Store owner Mulinge Kituo recounted finding the deceased in his shop around 7:15 am on Friday. Uncertain of the man’s condition, Kituo closed the premises and promptly reported the incident to the nearby police station.
Describing the scene, Kituo mentioned discovering a broken gypsum ceiling and spotting the body. He immediately sought help from the authorities.
Upon arrival, the police confirmed the death of the suspected intruder, who had fallen head-first onto the concrete floor. CCTV footage captured the man breaking into the shop and falling around 11:40 pm the previous night.
The intruder, though alive initially, succumbed to his injuries after approximately 10 minutes of writhing in pain.
