Mwananchi Credit Denies Salary Delays Claims

Mwananchi Credit, a microfinance institution, has refuted reports suggesting it is facing financial difficulties or failing to pay employee salaries.

In an official statement, the company’s senior management confirmed that it remains financially stable and plans to expand operations this year while introducing improved products and services for clients.

“All staff have been paid in full, and the company is in good health. We are transparent—anyone can visit and verify that everything is normal,” said a senior management representative.

The firm also noted that bonuses have been awarded to high-performing and long-serving employees, highlighting its commitment to staff welfare.

Mwananchi Credit clarified, however, that salaries for employees undergoing disciplinary or administrative processes have not yet been disbursed, as these internal procedures are still ongoing.

The company questioned why claims of delayed salaries keep coming from the same blogger, describing the reports as a deliberate, targeted attack.

“Repeated false narratives from the same source must stop. These allegations will not hinder Mwananchi Credit’s growth, and our business will continue to thrive,” the firm stated.
