Authorities are investigating a shocking incident in Kagayu village, Nyeri County, where a man allegedly killed his wife and two young children.
The suspect was arrested after the victims’ bodies were discovered in his home on Sunday, February 1, 2026.

The motive for the killings is not yet known. Police identified the children as a six-year-old boy and a two-and-a-half-year-old girl, while their mother, 30-year-old Mary Nasoro, was also found dead. The boy attended a local school.

Police reported that the children’s bodies were found on a table with their necks slit and multiple stab wounds. Their mother had been stabbed several times, hanged from a truss with a belt around her neck, and her throat was also slit. Officers suspect she was tortured before being killed.
The bodies were taken to the mortuary for autopsy and further investigation.
The gruesome incident has left the village in shock, with residents calling for justice for the victims.
