Police in Kisii County are investigating the brutal killing of a 20-year-old man, whose body was discovered dumped along the roadside in Magena.
The victim, identified as Tomson Osiemo, was found with severe head injuries after being reported missing from his home the previous night. Authorities say the motive behind the murder remains unknown, and no arrests have been made so far. The body has been moved to the mortuary for autopsy and further investigation.
In a separate case in Sigomere, Siaya County, police are probing the death of 40-year-old Bernard Okoth, whose body was found lying in a pool of blood with deep cuts on his head and legs. Investigators say the motive is still unclear as the body awaits a postmortem examination.
Meanwhile, in Narok County, a decomposed human skeleton was discovered along a riverbank. Police suspect the remains may have been washed downstream by floodwaters after locals raised the alarm upon spotting them.
In Barwaqo, Wajir County, a 26-year-old man identified as Mohammed Salat died after being stabbed during a confrontation. He was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. Police arrested a suspect shortly after the incident and recovered a kitchen knife believed to have been used in the attack. An autopsy was performed before the body was released to the family for burial.
Elsewhere in Kopolo, Bondo (Siaya County), a dispute over a piglet killed by dogs turned deadly when Moses Owuor, a caretaker, was fatally attacked by his neighbour. Owuor sustained deep head and facial injuries and died at Uyawi Hospital.
Police say the suspect, who remains at large, allegedly followed Owuor to his home before the violent attack. The body was taken to the mortuary as investigations continue.
