KPLC Lists10 Counties Which Will be Affected by Power Interruptions Today

Kenya Power has released a schedule for planned power interruptions in parts of 10 counties on Wednesday, with disruptions expected between 8 am and 5 pm at different times in each area.

The affected counties include Nairobi, Machakos, Nakuru, Nandi, Kakamega, Tharaka Nithi, Nyeri, Kiambu, Kitui, and Kilifi.

In Nairobi, areas like Highrise East, Magiwa, Highview East, Kenyatta Hospital, Mbagathi Hospital, and parts of Nairobi West Prison will experience power cuts from 9 am to 5 pm. Other areas in Nairobi, including Umoja 1 A, Umoja SDA Church, and Umoja 1 Market, will also be affected within the same timeframe.

Machakos will experience outages between 9 am and 2 pm in locations such as Graylands 1-4, Sunda Industries, and Sidai Village.

Nakuru residents, including those in Vegpro, Flamingo, and Kijabe Limited, will face power interruptions from 9 am to 5 pm.

In Nandi, power will be cut off from 9:30 am to 5 pm in areas like Cheptabach Secondary and the surrounding village.

Kakamega is set to experience power interruptions from 9 am to 5 pm, affecting Bukhakanga Market, Shihome, and several other locations.

Tharaka Nithi will face outages from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with areas such as Mwanjate Market, Kibiga Kya Athi Primary, and Kathanga Market being affected.

In Nyeri, power cuts will occur from 8 am to 5 pm in places like Kiriani Town, Kandabibi, and several schools and markets.

Kiambu is scheduled for power interruptions between 9 am and 5 pm, affecting areas such as St. Monica, Mutati, and Thuita Secondary.

Kitui residents in areas like Iganga, Kisasi, and Kitungati will face power cuts from 9 am to 5 pm.

Finally, Kilifi will experience outages from 9 am to 5 pm in locations including Mwango, Mkoroshoni, and Mzongoloni.

Kenya Power has advised customers in these regions to plan accordingly for the scheduled disruptions.
