Kericho Man Surrenders After Allegedly Killing Girlfriend

A 31-year-old man has handed himself over to police following the alleged murder of his girlfriend in Sigowet Sub-County, Kericho County, according to authorities.

Police reports filed at Sondu Police Station indicate that the suspect arrived at Kericho Police Station around 11:15 p.m. on December 16, confessing to killing his 25-year-old girlfriend at Kalygowet location.

Officers, joined by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), proceeded to the scene, where they found the house locked from the outside and forced their way in.

Inside, they discovered the woman’s body lying on a sofa with a scarf tied around her neck, showing visible signs of strangulation.

According to reports, the deceased had visited the suspect three days earlier and was from Kaborok location in Belgut Sub-County.

The suspect is currently in custody at Kericho Police Station as investigations continue. The case is being handled by DCI officers from Soin Sigowet.
