A distressed 30-year-old James Muthui Mbuvi, hailing from Isee Village, Mathyakani Location in Mwingi Central Kitui County is appealing for justice as he was recruited into the Kenya Defense Forces under the NYS category, only to be sent home after just four days.
Despite multiple attempts to join the forces before reaching the age limit, Muthui finally qualified this year through NYS but was abruptly dismissed without explanation after reporting to Kahawa Garrison on November 27.
Muthui, devastated by shattered dreams of helping his impoverished family, implores the President and Defense Ministry to intervene and reinstate him, emphasizing that he was sent home with two others.
His father, David Maluki, expresses disappointment and health concerns, urging the government to step in and address the situation. Muthui,had aspirations of making a positive impact, especially considering his nine siblings’ are unemployment.
