Kanze Dena, spokesperson for the office of the former President Uhuru Kenyatta, has raised concerns regarding what she perceives as a neglect of the office’s constitutional requirements by President William Ruto’s administration.
In a press briefing on Monday aimed at clarifying the situation, Dena alleged that the former president’s office has been inadequately funded.
Out of the Sh655 million allocated to the office for the 2022/2023 fiscal year, Dena stated that they have only received Sh28 million, which amounts to approximately 4.4 percent of the total budget for that period.
