Fans were treated to an exciting showdown as Kabati Youth and MOFA battled to a 1–1 draw in a tightly contested match.
The visiting side, MOFA, took an early lead thanks to a swift strike from their forward, Kelvin, who found the back of the net within the opening minutes. Kabati Youth, however, refused to back down and continued to press for an equalizer throughout the game.
Their persistence paid off in the dying minutes when Vincent capitalized on a defensive lapse to score the leveller, sending home fans into celebration.
Speaking after the match, Kabati coach Haji praised his players for their improved performance, saying, “We’ve shown great progress compared to our previous games. I’m proud of the team’s effort and believe our next fixture will be even better.”
MOFA’s coach Carlos was equally satisfied with his team’s resilience.
“This is our first draw of the season, and I’m happy we managed to avoid defeat away from home. We’ll now shift focus to our next match,” he said.
The result leaves both teams optimistic as they look ahead to their upcoming fixtures.
