Elijah Nthenge Foundation Honors Legacy of Service at Kyatune Special School

In a heartwarming event, the Elijah Nthenge Foundation, a non-governmental organization dedicated to aiding differently-abled individuals, recently organized a memorable gathering at the Kyatune Special School.

This event not only highlighted the enduring legacy of compassion and service established by Elijah Nthenge but also showcased the foundation’s ongoing commitment to improving the lives of those in need.

Through collaborative efforts with various organizations and the unwavering dedication of Elijah Nthenge’s children, the foundation continues to make a significant impact in Kitui South and beyond. The recent event served as a testament to this dedication, as it brought smiles to the faces of differently-abled children and their families.

One of the most significant contributions made during the event was the donation of 22 wheelchairs, which will greatly enhance the mobility and independence of individuals with physical disabilities. Additionally, assorted food supplies were distributed, ensuring that the basic needs of the community are met.

Beyond material donations, the event also highlighted the talents and abilities of the students at Kyatune Special School. From crafting beautiful items from beads to planting thousands of trees, these students showcased their skills and dedication to creating a better future for themselves and their community.

The foundation’s focus on empowerment and sustainability was evident throughout the event, emphasizing the importance of long-term solutions to address the needs of vulnerable populations.
