An eight-year-old girl was found dead in what police suspect to be a murder incident in Theta village, Gatundu, Kiambu County.

Her body was discovered in the middle of a tea plantation.
According to police, the motive behind the killing remains unclear.
The girl had been reported missing by her parents on May 9, leading to a search operation that ended the next day with the tragic discovery.
Officers noted the body had several stab wounds on the neck, back, and chest, along with a deep cut behind the right ear, suggesting the use of a sharp weapon.
A visible injury was also observed on the right side of her head.
The body was taken to the Gatundu Level Five Hospital mortuary for a postmortem examination.
Police said investigations are ongoing and no arrests have been made so far.
