Bolt Expands Into Parcel Delivery in Kenya

Ride-hailing company Bolt has introduced Bolt Send, a new parcel delivery service that enables users to request deliveries directly through the existing Bolt app.

The service, which kicks off in Nairobi before rolling out to other towns, is designed to tap into Kenya’s fast-growing e-commerce sector and the increasing demand for convenient logistics solutions.

Deliveries will be carried out by vetted drivers, with customers able to track their parcels in real time and enjoy secure handling throughout the process.

The launch comes as changing consumer behavior and rising internet access fuel the need for quick, affordable, and reliable delivery services. Logistics has long been a major hurdle for e-commerce, opening the door for tech-based solutions.

By leveraging its wide driver network, Bolt hopes to strengthen last-mile delivery, boost efficiency in Kenya’s digital economy, and step up competition with established courier companies and global tech players.
