In a tragic incident at Chemoe Junction in Baringo North Constituency, three family members were fatally shot by bandits, while three others sustained injuries during the attack.
The victims, comprising a father, mother, and their young child, were ambushed en route to a local pass-out ceremony, where they were indiscriminately sprayed with bullets, resulting in the immediate death of the man. Despite efforts by locals to rescue the wife and child, they succumbed to their injuries.
Additional reports indicate that three individuals sustained injuries in the attack and are currently undergoing treatment at Baringo County Referral Hospital in Kabarnet. The deceased bodies have been transferred to the Baringo County Referral Hospital mortuary.
Expressing condemnation for the killings, Area MCA Michael Chebon has called upon security personnel to promptly apprehend the culprits, emphasizing the need to restore peace in the region.
