Police engaged in a heated exchange of gunfire with a group of armed individuals in Kasarani, Nairobi County, resulting in the death of two assailants and the injury of two others who managed to flee the scene.
The confrontation unfolded as law enforcement pursued the suspects who were traveling in a Nissan Note vehicle from Ruai to KU Farm in the Mwiki area.
During the exchange, authorities successfully recovered a Jericho pistol that had reportedly been stolen from the Officer Commanding (OCS) of Vihiga Police Station back in December 2023.

The deceased perpetrators have been transported to City Mortuary, while the confiscated vehicle has been towed to Kasarani Police Station for further investigation. Meanwhile, a comprehensive search operation is underway to locate and apprehend the remaining suspects who managed to evade capture.
