President William Ruto will conclude his five-day development tour of the Mt Kenya region on Saturday.
During his visit, he traveled to various areas in Nyeri and Kiambu, including Githunguri Town, Kiambu, Mau Mau Road in Lari, and Othaya Town, where he engaged with local residents.
Ruto also launched the construction of the Othaya Modern Market in Nyeri, with a foundation stone ceremony, and inspected the Ruring’u Affordable Housing Project in Nyeri Town, among other initiatives.

In Othaya, the President kicked off the building of a Sh325 million modern market that will feature 1,000 stalls, cold storage rooms, and ICT hubs.
While addressing the people of Othaya, he shared details of the region’s ongoing development programs.

Ruto also called for a meeting between the Services Regulatory Board, the Nyeri County Government, and the Ministry of Water to discuss water pricing that aligns with the needs of the local community.
Over the past four days, Ruto has visited Meru, Nyandarua, Kirinyaga, Tharaka Nithi, Murang’a, and Embu counties, all of which have warmly welcomed him.
