KAA Re-advertises Managing Director/CEO Position

The Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) has re-opened applications for the position of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, indicating a fresh push to fill the key leadership role.

According to the advertisement, the successful candidate will report to the Chairperson of the Board of Directors and will be responsible for leading, managing, and coordinating the authority’s overall operations.

The position requires an experienced leader capable of steering the organisation in response to market demands and the changing dynamics of the aviation industry.

The Managing Director/CEO will be tasked with overseeing the formulation and execution of strategic plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, managing financial performance, and delivering value to stakeholders, including the government, passengers, and employees.

The position will be offered on a three-year contract, which may be renewed once depending on satisfactory performance or until the holder reaches the mandatory retirement age, whichever comes first.

Applicants must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in fields such as Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Management, Marketing, Statistics, or Social Sciences from a recognised university in Kenya.

Candidates should also have a minimum of ten years of professional experience, including at least five years in senior management, demonstrating the ability to lead and manage complex organisations.

Applicants must also comply with Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, which requires high ethical standards and integrity for individuals holding public office.

In addition, candidates are required to submit clearance certificates from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), and provide a credit reference report from an approved bureau.
