Kenya Police FC have officially parted ways with their head coach, Etienne Ndayiragije, following their early exit from the CAF Champions League at the hands of Sudan’s Al Hilal on Friday, October 24, 2025.
The club was knocked out on a 4-1 aggregate—losing 1-0 in Nairobi before suffering a 3-1 defeat in the return leg held in Benghazi, Libya. Their continental campaign had already shown signs of struggle after a 2-0 loss to Mogadishu City Club in the preliminary round second leg.
They only advanced on the away goals rule, having won 3-1 in the first leg, with both matches played at Nyayo Stadium.

Ndayiragije took charge of Kenya Police FC on November 29, 2024, replacing Salim Babu at a time when the team was languishing in 17th place with just eight points. Under his leadership, the side staged a stunning comeback to win their first-ever FKF Premier League title, earning a historic berth in the CAF Champions League.
In an official statement, the club announced, “Kenya Police FC wishes to inform the public that as of October 29, 2025, it has mutually agreed to part ways with Head Coach Mr. Etienne Ndayiragije.”
The statement further praised his impact, saying, “During his time with us, Mr. Ndayiragije guided the club to its maiden league title. He expressed a desire to pursue new professional opportunities, and the club has respected his request.”
