President Ruto Promises Uniforms and Infrastructure for Lenana School as it Opens Doors to Ng’ando Community

Ruto has pledged to procure school uniforms for students at Lenana School Primary, which he inaugurated on Monday to serve the Ng’ando community in Dagoretti South constituency.

He expressed fulfillment of a promise made four years ago following the tragedy at Precious Talent School. Ruto highlighted the government’s efforts, having constructed 22 classrooms accommodating approximately 1300 students from Grades 1 to 4, with plans for an additional 24 classrooms to accommodate higher grades.

“We will build and equip 24 extra classrooms for Lenana School Primary so that it can serve more students in Dagoretti South,” Ruto said on his X Account.

“Our focus is to ensure that all our children access the right learning environment to boost their academic performance,” Ruto added.

He committed to personally overseeing the construction of the remaining classrooms and providing desks.

Additionally, Ruto promised to purchase full school uniforms, including shoes, for each student, generating excitement among parents and students.

Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu informed the president of the availability of Ksh.10M to initiate construction of more classrooms and ablution blocks.
