CFAO Mobility Kenya Limited emerged as the top-selling vehicle dealer in Kenya in August, narrowly overtaking Isuzu East Africa, according to the latest data from the Kenya Motor Industry Association (KMIA).
CFAO sold 683 vehicles during the month, compared with Isuzu’s 681 units. This marked a reversal from July, when Isuzu led the market with 734 units against CFAO’s 617.

Simba Corporation came third in August with 108 units, followed by Tata Holdings Africa with 62 vehicles.
Scania East Africa sold 17 units, while Crown Motors and Inchcape Kenya recorded 14 and 13 units respectively. Salvador and Caetano Kenya each sold seven vehicles.
Nelion Trading Limited and Mobikey Truck and Bus recorded no sales during the month.
KMIA attributed the industry’s performance largely to government fiscal measures, including the mobilisation of Sh139 billion to settle pending contractor bills and revive road projects.
The association said the renewed road activity helped increase demand for heavy commercial vehicles.
Overall, local vehicle dealers sold 1,592 units in August, down slightly from the 1,677 units recorded in July.
