Faiba Celebrates Major 1 Million Subscriber Milestone

Faiba Hits 1 Million Subscribers, Rewards Lucky Customer

Jamii Telecommunications Limited (JTL), the company behind Faiba Mobile, is celebrating a major milestone after its mobile network surpassed one million subscribers.

To mark the achievement, the company rewarded Michael Moegi, a Nairobi resident who became Faiba Mobile’s one millionth customer.

The milestone represents a significant step in Faiba Mobile’s growth and highlights the increasing confidence customers have placed in the brand since its launch.

JTL Chief Commercial Officer for Mobile Business, Isaac Kennedy Muthama, said reaching one million subscribers demonstrates the growing trust in Faiba Mobile.

He said the company chose to recognise its millionth subscriber as a way of appreciating customers for their continued support and loyalty.

Moegi received a special prize package that included a Faiba M1 Plus smartphone, 120GB of data and a one-month complimentary subscription to Faiba Fixed Internet.

Moegi said he was surprised by the recognition and described the reward as an unforgettable experience. He added that the smartphone and data package would be useful to him.

The milestone comes as Faiba Mobile continues to expand its presence in Kenya’s telecommunications market by offering affordable voice and data services focused on flexibility, convenience and value.

In May, the company introduced a new portfolio of mobile products as part of efforts to strengthen its position in the highly competitive sector.

The new offering, branded “Raha Jipe,” was designed to improve customer experience while providing more flexible and affordable options for different subscriber needs and lifestyles.

Faiba said the strategy was aimed at simplifying its range of products while encouraging long-term customer engagement through customisable plans.

The revamped portfolio includes flexible data bundles, combined voice and data packages, voice-focused plans, short-term unlimited internet offers and group-sharing packages for families and small groups.

Subscribers were also given the option to customise certain bundles according to their individual usage requirements.

Faiba Mobile’s one-million-subscriber achievement comes at a time when competition in Kenya’s telecommunications industry is intensifying, with operators introducing new products and services to attract and retain customers.
