15 Kenyans Evacuated from Iran Safely Land at JKIA

Fifteen Kenyans who were evacuated from Iran amid the ongoing Middle East conflict have safely arrived at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

According to the State Department for Diaspora Affairs, the group landed on Sunday morning and was received by government officials led by Peter Burugu, representing Principal Secretary Roseline Njogu.

The evacuees traveled back to Kenya via Türkiye. Upon arrival, they underwent a debriefing process and received psychosocial support before being reunited with their families.

The evacuation was coordinated by the Kenyan government through the State Department for Diaspora Affairs, in collaboration with the country’s diplomatic missions in Tehran and Ankara, as part of efforts to ensure the safety of Kenyans living abroad.
